Abbreviations used

RL Raised Letter

F Frog (a depression in the brick)

PA Paver (a vitrified brick commonly used in roads)

FB Firebrick (refractory brick)

ED Edge Print (markings are on the edge or side of the brick)

EN End Print (markings on the end of the brick)

SW Sidewalk brick (usually a design)

NOTE:
ED and EN: some bricks are roll printed, so the lines on your brick may not appear in the right order. If the first line doesn't match, try the next.
CBMA: symbol of the Common Brick Manufacturer's Association. Non-letter markings are put in parentheses, such as (arrowhead).
